Musici Ireland was formed in early 2012 by Artistic Director and Principal Violist, Beth McNinch to showcase Irelands’ finest musicians in performances ranging from Baroque to Contemporary Chamber works. The Members of Musici Ireland all come with a formidable wealth of experience, including International Soloists, Chamber Musicians and Orchestral members.
Musici Ireland offers a unique platform for classical musicians of international repute to deliver a high quality of performance in Ireland, based on outstanding music for unusual combinations of instruments.
In 2012 they gave 5 highly acclaimed concerts in Dublin and Wexford, with a sell out performance during the Wexford Opera Festival.
They returned to the Wexford Fringe Festival in October 2013, this time in Rowe Street Church, to give a concert of string chamber orchestra music. The concert featured guest soloist/director Helena Wood, the newly appointed leader of the RTE NSO. This programme is to be repeated on 20th March 2014 in their fundraising concert in aid of the friends of St. Lukes

Musici Ireland strive to offer audiences programmes rarely performed in Ireland. In 2013 they produced a wonderful variety of music, including works by Nino Rota, Roussel and Britten. They performed a sell out concert of Quintet and horn music in Calary Church, Co.Wicklow in July 2013 with quintets by Mozart, Stamitz and Stanford. In August of 2013, Fionnuala Moynihan and Beth McNinch made Musici Irelands’ debut performance in the John Field Room by invitation of the National Concert Hall.
During the August bank holiday 2013, they gave multiple performances of Bruch String Octet and Britten Simple Symphony at Castletown House in Co. Kildare as part of The Performance Corporations’ Big House Festival.
In 2014 they are thrilled to have secured a 4 concert series at the National Concert Hall, Dublin. Details can be found on the Diary page.
We are currently looking for somewhere to call home. A venue we could rehearse in and possibly begin a series of concerts.
